New Release | Autumn Arriving
Even though I feel a little melancholy as we say goodbye to summer I know that autumn will give us so much in terms of beautiful colour and atmosphere.
It’s a perfect time for thinking about new paintings and trying out new layering combinations. The skies are more misty and this affects the warm reds and golds as the leaves turn.
I used some old shabby bristle brushes to get the intricate detail of the trees and as I was immersed in this painting it occurred to me that trees are much like clouds in their own way.
